Baby dedication (for children ages 3 years and younger) at Community Baptist Church takes place to confirm the amazing responsibilities that Christian parents have to nurture and raise their children according to God's wishes.  Baby dedication can almost be referred to as "Parent Dedication."  The decision to do this should be approached prayerfully.  Parents need to know that they are making a vow in the Lord's presence to do everything in their power to raise their children according to God's will.

Community Baptist Church requires you, the parents, to attend both the Baby Dedication Pre-Requisite class (a 2-part class that meets on 2 Sundays) and an Explore Community class prior to the dedication of your baby.  The Pre-Requisite class will help you to:

   ·   Evaluate how Community Baptist Church defines baby dedication
   ·   Discover the difference between baby dedication and childhood
     baptism
   ·   Know how to further your job as a Christian parent
