Here you’ll find information for some upcoming, special events. Throughout the year we have different trips, events and parties. All the information you’ll need will be right here so check back often because you don’t want to miss out.
Endeavor Summer Events
June 12-13 – Overnight Beach Trip – Meet at CBC at 5:00pm - $30
We’re kicking off the summer by heading down to Dana Point to spend some time at the beach. We’ll be hanging out Friday night at South Shores Church then spending all day Saturday at the beach. There’s no better way to start off the summer than by catching some sun, surf and sand; why else would we live in California?
June 16 – Haole Luau – 6:30-8:30pm – $5
Aloha! Haole means “foreigner” in Hawaiian and since we won’t be on the islands this is going to be a Haole Luau. Even though we won’t be on the sandy beaches of our nation’s 50th state, we’re still going to have an awesome time playing some games, eating some Hawaiian food and letting loose with our island attitude. Join us for a great night as we kick off our summer Tuesdays and maybe we’ll even cook a pig in the ground, but probably not.
June 23 – Games Night – 6:30-8:30pm – Free
We’re going to be all over the church campus playing all sorts of awesome games. Some old favorites might poke their heads out and there may be some new games that you’ve never even heard about. We’ll also have dinner together when we take a break from all the fun. So strap on your Nikes and headband and show up to dominate some competition.
June 28-July 3 – Summer Camp at Hume San Diego – $350
Summer camp is coming a little earlier this year and instead of heading to the mountains we’ll be going to the beach. This year we’ll be at Hume San Diego on the campus of Point Loma Nazarene University for an all new summer camp experience. We’ll experience the same great programming that Hume has always offered with the added excitement of the beach. Pick up a registration form and sign up; a $100 deposit will secure your spot.
July 7 – Angels Baseball Game – 5:00-11:00pm – $20
There’s nothing better than spending a summer night watching baseball with a hot dog in hand. We’re heading down to Anaheim to watch the Los Angeles Angels take on Home Run Derby Champion, Josh Hamilton, and the Texas Rangers. We’ll be meeting at CBC and then heading down to the stadium all together. Whether you’re keeping score or walking around the stadium looking for Dippin’ Dots, you’ll have a great time watching America’s pastime. And who knows, you may even catch a homerun but then drop it and lose it to a 7-year-old. Seats are limited so sign up early for this one.
July 14 – Pool Party – 6:00-9:00pm – $5
When you can’t make it to the beach, make it to the pool. There’s nothing better than throwing on the floaties and using your goggles to look at people’s feet in the pool. Summer nights are the best spent outside swimming in a pool, having a BBQ dinner and mixing it up with a couple games of War Ball. The location of the party and directions will be coming as we get closer to the date. And, as always, no two-pieces for guys or girls.
July 21 – Water Games – 6:30-8:30pm – Free
We’re breaking out the giant Slip and Slide to have some wet and wild fun. Imagine all of your favorite Endeavor games played in a cascade of flowing water; it’ll be intense. We all need water to survive and we all need some water games to have the best summer possible. So meet at CBC ready to have more fun with water than when you had your rubber ducky in the bathtub. And remember, no two-pieces allowed, guys or girls.
July 28 – GNO – More Info Coming
How would you like a night out with just the guys and the girls? Well that’s what you’re going to get with our Guys’ and Girls’ Nights Out. This night will be spent hanging out with your staff leaders and friends. Options for activities could include some very manly or very womanly things but every option will involve lots of fun. Stay tuned as we’ll bring you more information as we get closer to July 28.
August 5 – Summer Beach Finale – 10:00am-10:00pm – $10
We’ll be wrapping up our summer with a day spent at the beach. We’ll be hanging out all day in the surf and sand and spend the night eating dinner, making s’mores and hanging out around the camp fire. This will be a great way to say goodbye to the summer and get one more day of fun in before school starts. No two pieces for girls or guys and this trip will be on a Wednesday instead of a Tuesday.
