Early Childhood Positions -
Nursery Lead Caregiver
Objective: Train and motivate new caregivers, build team unity and relationships, and start the partnership with parents in growing the spiritual foundation of their children.
Activities:
1. Organize the team using their strengths and gifts in different areas of the room.
2. Assess needs during the service hour and discuss with Asst. Pastor of Early Childhood Ministry.
3. Welcome children with open hearts and arms, and provide comfort to the parents as they leave their babies in your care.
4. Pray over the babies during the service hour and during the week for their families.
5. Play, read Christian books aloud and sing praise music! Conversation focuses on God made your eyes, ears, etc. and
God made you!
Reports To: Asst. Pastor of Early Childhood Ministry
Times of Service: One service hour per weekend
Length of Service: Year long
Training/Orientation: Leadership enrichment every other month and CBC’s one-time Child Protection Training upon start of service commitment.

Toddler Leader
Purpose of Ministry: Grow a unified teaching team with the assistants and junior leaders to bring God’s truth and role as Creator to life for the children using objects and activities provided.
Objective: Introduce the children to God as creator, Bible characters and prayer, model and train assistants and junior leaders, and partner with parents in building the spiritual foundation of their children.
Activities:
1. Prepare for weekly lessons and lead each activity
2. Attend to children's needs
3. Oversee class and attendance

Activities:
1. Must be prepared for weekly lessons
2. Be sensitive to children's needs
3. Help with set up, activities and conversations with the children as the leader introduces the children to God as creator,
Bible characters and prayer

Laundry Helper
Purpose of Ministry: Twice a month wash the nursery laundry.
Objective: Support the early childhood ministry and nursery and waddler families to provide babies with have a healthy environment in which to crawl, sit and play!
Activities:
1. Pick up laundry from Nursery or Waddler room
2. Wash in Dreft (or other baby-safe laundry detergent) and fold
3. MUST BE RETURNED BY FRIDAY NOON

Purpose of Ministry: Support the early childhood teaching teams in preparing the crafts with intentional focus on the developmental age levels.
Objective: Prepare craft activities and supplies so that the teaching teams will have all that they need in the classroom to do the crafts In an organized and simple manner.
Activities:
1. Help in organizing the shopping list for crafts supplies
2. Package craft for weekly curriculum for two-year-old classes

Other Qualities: Desire to use your spiritual gift(s) in ministry as God planned for you, self-motivated to work at home or form a small group to work together, while praying for the children and workers who will be using the supplies..

Nursery-Toddler Room Set-up
Purpose of Ministry: Support the caregiving and teaching teams in preparing the rooms for weekend services.
Objective: Set up, maintain and clean three classrooms each week for weekend services.
Activities:
1. Checking in with Asst. Pastor before setup each week via phone, email or in person
2. Be sure the counters, play areas and toys are clean and in working order.
3. Set out toys, curriculum and craft in classrooms
4. Maintain the classroom supplies, such as paper products and snacks

KiDz Lift Facilitator
Purpose of Ministry: Work with children ages 5-11 to help them deal with the stresses of living in today's world.
Objective: Providing a safe, comfortable environment for children to share and feel accepted, lead children to knowing God as their Father and provider, and teach life skills to deal with their feelings through the Bible and Christian curriculum.
Activities:
1. Interact with children in large and small group settings to encourage sharing through conversation and lesson activities.
2. Pray with children and help them learn Bible scripture
3. Help children build self-esteem and a sense of trust through relationships between leaders and peers.

Meal Breaks Provider
Purpose of Ministry: To support and extend care to new moms and family by delivering a warm meal.

Purpose of Ministry: Build a team of providers to support and extend care to new moms and family by delivering a warm meal.
Objective: To provide meals to families for 2 weeks, to assist them during the transition of having a new baby at home.
Activities:
1. Build a team of providers
2. Once informed of new arrivals, schedule and organize meals for 2 weeks, excluding weekends
3. Inform Admin. Asst. to Senior Pastor of birth announcements
4. Prepare appreciation gifts (annually) for providers under the direction of Asst. Pastor of Early Childhood Ministry
