The GAP gapfoodbank.org (God Always Provides) is a food bank ministry that began in a garage of a CBC family in the early 1990s. The GAP has grown to be a community based ministry served by many churches and providing weekly food distribution to hundreds of families in the Inland Empire. Ed & Lou Carey are Community Baptist Church's missionaries to Hollywood, serving at Hope International Bible Fellowship hopeibf.com. Prior to serving in the city, Lou was on Community's administrative staff for many years, praying and waiting for Ed to come to faith in Christ. Ed, eventually came to Christ, grew as a leader and went from Community staff to a missionary to the inner city where Hope IBF ministers to street people, the urban poor, and professionals. They also host international congregations at their facility.
Buck and Carin Rogers serve with Church Resource Ministries crmleaders.org (CRM) with the mission of empowering leaders to strengthen and start churches worldwide. Buck coaches and trains pastors and works with churches to have greater effectiveness and impact. The Rogers live in Rancho Cucamonga and participate at Community Baptist Church. Carin is involved in our prayer ministry and Buck assists with strategic planning.
Alternate Avenues alternateavenues.net is a women's resource center and early pregnancy care clinic. It helps women dealing with alternatives when faced with an unplanned pregnancy. Community Baptist Church has sought to help women choose life over abortion, and to find a network of support, love and resources to face a better life ahead. Alternate Avenues provides free and confidential help.
TOUCH Ministries, led by Connie Perlick is a local ministry to the homeless, needy and broken. Connie, a Community partner, responded to the needs of the homeless by organizing volunteers to provide backpacks of supplies, including food and hygiene products. TOUCH is now operating out of the Rancho Cucamonga Family Resource Center.
