Baptism
Baptism is an important part of our commitment to Jesus Christ. At Community Baptist Church we baptize by immersion. The word "baptize" literally means "to dip or immerse under water." Jesus is our example as the Bible records his baptism in the Jordan River (Mark 1:9-11). Baptism is also symbolic of a person's union with Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul explains how baptism identifies the believer with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Romans 6:1-11). Baptism, then, is a public profession of our new life in Christ and an outer sign of our obedience to him.
Baptisms at Community Baptist Church are held quarterly at the weekend services or in a backyard pool.

Then, either listen to Pastor Rob's sermon on baptism (see below "Baptism: The Invitation"), or sign-up to attend one of the baptism classes below. Make sure to also sign-up for a date for your baptism.
If you have put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you should be baptized. If you would like more information on baptism, contact Esther 909.945.5001 x223.
Infant Baptism: Since baptism pictures an individual's relationship with Christ, we believe it is a personal response to God. We baptize children, beginning at age 8, who have made a decision to follow Christ and understand the meaning of baptism. Parents can be encouraged to raise their children according to God's will by participating in a Baby Dedication.
